SPHS CHOIR STUDENTS AT DORIAN FESTIVAL - A group of Saint Peter High School choir students took part at the 75th annual Dorian Vocal Festival at Luther College (Decorah, Iowa) today under the guidance of SPHS choir director Brianna Bergstrom! Around 900 students from Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Illinois come together and sing at this festival.
Those students making the trip to Dorian on Monday included Gabe Zayas, Max Bultman, Kaden Throldahl, Derek Guth, Braedon Dornfeld, Quinn Dixon, Iris Elias, Isabelle Mish, Rebekah Roemhildt, and Eleanor Hughes.

ALL-NIGHT GRAD PARTY IN NEED OF VOLUNTEERS - The Saint Peter All-Night Graduation Party (ANGP) committee is looking for people to join their committee! They are looking for someone to continue Fundraising Activities and Communication.

SPHS BANDS HOST HOLIDAY CONCERT - The Saint Peter High School band department, under the direction of Dave Haugh, performed during its 2024 Holiday Concert on Monday evening at the Performing Arts Center.
Performing that evening were the SPHS Concert Band (grades 11 & 12), Varsity Band (grades 9 & 10), the Jazz Band (grades 9-12), and the Percussion Ensemble. The evening ended with the Concert and Varsity bands coming together to perform “The Nightmare Before Christmas: Part One”.

NATIONAL INTERSCHOLASTIC ATHLETIC ADMINISTRATOR DAY - We want to recognize Saints’ Activities Director Shea Roehrkasse and his administrative assistant Zoe Haugen for their outstanding work on behalf of our student-athletes and coaches throughout the school year. Several cast and crew members of Saint Peter High School’s fall musical production of ‘The Addams Family’ were honored recently through the Hennepin Art’s Spotlight Education program. See the accompanying graphic for those who were honored!
Hennepin Arts provides essential arts education and community enrichment in Minnesota through programs like Spotlight Education. Thousands of students throughout Minnesota benefit from enhanced theater education each year. Hennepin Arts transforms the Hennepin Theatre District with vibrant, inclusive programs, fostering a sense of community and diversity.
Spotlight Education is a non-competitive program that focuses on theater education and growth. Additionally, SPHS fall play cast members Rebekah Roemhildt and Isabelle Mish are invited to perform in the Spotlight Showcase at their festival in June 2025. Those two were selected to perform by evaluators based upon their outstanding performances!

SPHS CHOIR HOSTS DECEMBER CONCERT! The Saint Peter High School Choir staged its annual December concert on Monday evening at the Performing Arts Center in front of an overflow crowd! This year's theme was "Finding Home" and those groups that performed included Bellas (treble ensemble) , Duphi (tenor/bass ensemble), Chamber Singers, Saints Choir (9th grade), Varsity Choir (10th grade), and SPHS Concert Choir (11th & 12th grade). 2024 SPHS YEARBOOKS ARE IN! After a little glitch in the system, the 2024 Saint Peter High School yearbooks have arrived and are ready for pickup starting this (Tuesday) morning.
Students in grades 10-12 this year (last year's 9th, 10th & 11th graders) who preordered a copy can pick it up in Mr. Hildebrandt's office (B128 - across from the concession stand/gym entrance).
Last year's seniors (SPHS Class of 2024) who preordered one can pick their copy up in the SPHS front office (enter through E6).
A limited number of extra copies are available for purchase, so see Mr. Hildebrandt if you'd like to purchase one or if you have any further questions please contact him via email at kuhildebrandt@stpeterschools.org.


SPHS FFA FARM FIELD IS HARVESTED - The Saint Peter High School FFA farm field was harvested in late September thanks to Terry and Cole Pankratz, SPHS FFA alumni.
"The FFA field looks a little different this year due to the Traverse Green developments," SPHS FFA Co-Advisor Jacob Pehrson said. "We are grateful for our city partnerships and the dedication our community farm families have within our school district and FFA."

Good luck to the Saints' girls' tennis team for winning the Big South East division title for the third straight year. The Saints (16-1 overall) will host West division champ St. James today (Tuesday) for the Big South Conference title at 4 p.m. at the SPHS tennis courts.


SPHS TO HOST HISPANIC/LATINO PEOPLES' JOY DAY ON OCT. 11 - Saint Peter High School will host Hispanic/Latino Peoples’ Joy Day on Friday, Oct. 11, during the school day, the third event of its kind in the past year, which is dedicated to the rich heritage, culture, and contributions of one of the many ethnic groups which make up our diverse student population.

SPHS HOMECOMING CANDIDATES ANNOUNCED - Saint Peter High School announced its 2024 Homecoming candidates during the traditional banner drop during Saints Time this morning (Thursday). Homecoming Week is scheduled from Friday, Sept. 30 to Saturday, Oct. 5. More details on SPHS's Homecoming Week will be released next week!


SPHS BAND SPRING CONCERT - Saint Peter High School's band department's annual Spring Concert on Wednesday evening filled the Performing Arts Center with some amazing music under the direction of Dave Haugh. Groups performing last night included the SPHS Concert Band, Jazz Ensemble, and the Varsity Band. The Concert and Varsity bands combined for two selections to wrap up the show! SPHS BLOOD DRIVE - Saint Peter High School hosted its annual Blood Drive on Friday, May 3, in the SPHS gym. A total of 50 units from students and staff were collected by the American Red Cross staff. This year’s Blood Drive coordinators were SPHS Health Science Academy students.








SPMS EIGHTH GRADERS GET A GLIMPSE OF HIGH SCHOOL LIFE - Saint Peter Middle School eighth graders had the chance Wednesday afternoon to tour Saint Peter High School, their academic home starting this fall! The eighth graders were greeted by SPHS Principal Annette Engeldinger and SPHS school counselor Regina Sirianni and then the students ate lunch in the commons area. Following lunch, several members of the SPHS National Honor Society accompanied the younger students to 15-minute mini-sessions in various classrooms and other learning spaces. SPHS STUDENTS ENJOY HYPNOTIC EXPERIENCE! Saint Peter High School students closed out their school day on Friday (April 26) with a special assembly featuring the talents of stage hypnotist Freddie Justice. He is a high-energy, dynamic entertainer who entertains audiences throughout the country who leave his shows with smiling faces and lots of memories. His comedy-improv style of hypnosis shows allows for a broader dynamic to truly utilize the personalities of his volunteers. Here are some photo highlights from his visit to SPHS!
