It was student award day for these three classrooms at North. The whole building worked incredibly hard during the Principal's Challenge and Mrs. Friedrich's (Gold), Ms. Walters' (Silver), and Mrs. Landsteiner's (Bronze) classrooms rose to the top! #STPnorthelementary

Mr. Doherty posted a student challenge on Seesaw yesterday for flex learning. Measure the snow with anything except standard units. Sylvie determined at her house it was 3 seltzer water cans deep at her house. And she let Mr. Doherty keep the seltzer!
Azrii Alas was the Spotlight Student at tonight's school board meeting. She shared amazing things about herself and even made the board members compete in a spelling bee. (Azrii was a finalist in last year's spelling bee at North as a 3rd grade student!) #STPnorthelementary

Thanks for the great professional learning day for our teachers! The Jeffers Foundation lead our teachers through outdoor education based science lessons. We also had time to reflect on our assessment practices with analysis of student writing samples across homerooms.

Today, on Veterans Day, I was honored to be able to facilitate a live broadcast Q&A session with Nick Rosza, Mike Keller, and Justin Hohn. Each of them work at North and served in the Marines, Air Force, and Army. Our students and staff watched and sent questions from classrooms.
The North Elementary polling stations open this morning at 8:30. Second, third,and fourth graders will submit their votes by recess.
