SPMS Penny Wars raises $1,032

Saint Peter Middle School Student Council members finished tallying up the money that was collected through this year’s annual Penny Wars fundraiser. This year, the SPMS students raised $1,032.41, and the funds raised through Penny Wars are donated to a different charity each year.

“The fundraiser this year was for an organization called Operation Gratitude,” Mrs. Knutson, SPMS Student Council advisor, said. “They send care packages to military, veterans, and first responders. A care package is sent for every $25 raised.

“The students were excited to choose the cause this year and it was pretty unanimous that they wanted to support military families. It was great to see them so passionate about supporting others and those in need!”
