For the second straight season, the Saints’ varsity girls track team topped the field on Saturday at the Minnesota High School Track Coaches Association’s Class AA State True Team Meet in Eden Prairie! The Saints won with 607 team points, well ahead of runner-up Orono at 556. Delano (510), Willmar (432.5), and Byron (432) rounded out the top five team finishers. The Minnesota State True Team Meet consists of eight section champion teams along with four wildcard teams for a total of 12 competing at Eden Prairie on Saturday. Each team competing at the True Team State Meet is allowed two individual competitors in each of those events and one relay team in each of the four relay events. The Saints' varsity track teams are led by head coaches Jeff Portugue and Keith Hanson.
The Saints, who edged Rocori for the state title in 2025, won five of the 18 events on the day with senior Keira Friedrich leading the way with golds in both the 800-meter and 1,600-meter runs and she also ran a leg of the victorious 4x400 relay team along with Macey Portner, Vivian Hendrickson, and Ella Dirks. Other Saints first-place winners were senior Annika Magelee in the pole vault and eighth-grader Alexis Ibanez in the long jump. The following are the Saints results from the true team state meet:
