Wrestling action begins at 5 p.m. on Friday at SPHS gym; continues at 11 a.m. on Saturday
The Saints’ wrestling team hosts the Section 2AA Individual Tournament starting at 5 p.m. on Friday at the SPHS gym and continuing at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
St. Peter is one of 12 teams that will be competing at the tourney. In addition to the Saints, other schools competing include New Prague, Watertown-Mayer/Mayer Lutheran, Scott West, Glencoe-Silver Lake/Lester Prairie, Mankato East, Mankato West, Mound-Westonka, Delano, Tri-City United, Rockford, and Orono.
Admission is $8 for adults and $5 for students for both days and NO passes or senior discounts are available for this tournament.
Friday’s schedule includes the first round and quarterfinal round for each weight class as well as the consolation preliminary round. The remainder of the tournament takes place starting with semifinal action and consolation quarterfinals at 11 a.m. Live results will be available at www.trackwrestling.com.
The top two in each weight class advances to the Minnesota State Class AA Wrestling Tournament at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, starting on Friday, March 3.
