Saint Peter High School students Jacob Stone (team captain), Sydney Marthaler and Jaydon Thompson and Saint Peter Middle Schooler Andie Marthaler participated in the annual St. Peter Polar Plunge fundraiser for Special Olympics Minnesota on Saturday. More than 300 people took part in this year’s event.

Those four students, along with Saint Peter School Resource Officer Jon Hughes, teamed up with area Minnesota State Troopers Ryan Marthaler and Herb Moon, to raise $1,300 for Special Olympics MN. More than $65,000 was raised at the St. Peter event overall, according to their website!

Because of construction activity at the regular location, this year’s St. Peter Polar Plunge was held near Johnson Hall at the Nicollet County Fairgrounds.
