Ms. Bealey's fifth grade students at Saint Peter Middle School had the opportunity to learn about how to throw pottery from local artists Shawn Bagley and Michelle Kiesersatt. Bealey explained, "The process of creating a bowl on the pottery wheel helps to elevate students' understanding of functional ceramic art and the beauty of form. Meeting these artists also broadened students' perspectives of professional art careers."
