SPMS Triple A winners

The PBIS Team at Saint Peter Middle School is excited to continue their recognition award this year called "Triple A (AAA) Student of the Week".  This is similar to "Athlete of the Week", but aims to include all activities. The "AAA" stands for Academics, Arts, and Athletics. The goal is to honor students who are excelling and showing Saints PRIDE in their school and extracurricular activities.

The following are the most recent winners of the SPMS Triple A Student of the Week award:

Miata Erickson - 8th grade

"This year Miata has earned 13 lifetime best swims out of 15 races.  On September 13th at our home meet against Litchfield, Miata swam 3-personal records out of 4 events.  One of those events was her first time competing in the 500 Freestyle to clock a time of 8:00.42.

"On Saturday, September 17th, at the Junior High Cougar Relays Miata had a Place finish and earned 3 out of 3-time drops.  Teamed with Addison Jaeger and Deszrae Jandert, Miata clocked a 36.13 in the first leg of the 50-50-100-yard Freestyle Relay that touched out Owatonna (2:14.90) to win the race with a time of 2:14.03. Mankato East awarded every 1st Place Relay Team a Cougar Relays T-Shirts."

Tegan Wenner - 7th grade

Tegan is a setter for my 7th grade volleyball team. The mindset that a setter should have is good court awareness, quick feet and good hands, plus natural leadership abilities.

Tegan has all of these and a gentle spirit to go along with her talent. Tegan in the classroom also demonstrates preparedness, respect and determination. She is very deserving of the AAA Award.
