Saint Peter Middle School eighth graders in Mr. Bartholow’s classes had a special visitor to their classroom on Thursday. Greater Mankato Growth CEO and President Della Schmidt met with the students on the topic of “Your Future, Your Lifestyle.” Her presentation covered the importance of getting students to think about their careers and all of the local pathways and opportunities here locally to help get them to that point.
The presentation was created by Schmidt and Mark C. Perna, an internationally recognized generational expert and bestselling author. Greater Mankato Growth had the opportunity to host Perna in Mankato in March and had over 180 parents, educators, and business professionals in attendance. SPMS Principal Jessi Buttell was also in attendance, and members of St. Peter's business community were invited to attend the presentation.
