SPHS fall musical stage director Taryn Bice

Saint Peter High School senior Taryn Bice has been an integral part of the SPHS theater program throughout her time here, and while her role this year may not be as visible to those attending this year’s fall musical, it is one of the utmost importance.

(SHOWN ABOVE) This year's SPHS fall musical stage manager Taryn Bice is pictured on one of the many set pieces used for this year's production of "The Little Mermaid."

Bice is serving as the stage manager for “The Little Mermaid,” and has had a big task this year with such a diverse and complex show with all of the set pieces and scene changes needed for a production of this magnitude.

The following is a Q&A profile with Bice before performance weekend!

How many years have you been a part of the SPHS theater program and what were your previous roles? I have been a part of SPHS theater for the past five years, previously in stage crew, and assistant stage manager.

What do you enjoy most about being a part of the program? I love how much the students are involved with building the set, and how close the people in the theater program become during the preparation for the various performances.

What skills do you feel you have acquired over the years being a part of the theater program that you feel will help you later in life? I have learned strong leadership skills, and a strong foundation with set design that I hope will help in my future career in Architecture.
