Young Writers & Artists Conference at BLC

This year, Bethany Lutheran College (Mankato) hosted their annual Young Writers & Artists Conference for grades 3-8 on March 5th and 6th. North Elementary students took advantage of this opportunity and attended the first day.

This conference allows students to fully engage and learn about various forms of writing and styles of art. It’s meant to inspire attendees to follow their passions and explore their talents! Numerous authors, artists, educators, writers, and business professionals were present in order to showcase their specific talents and inspire others to do the same.

Different sessions occur throughout the day, ranging from but not limited to poetry, fiction writing, illustration, graphic design, journalism, and more!

This year, we had two students from Saint Peter High School, Anja Harbo and Alex Bur, attend and present their topics for the students. This was a great honor, as these students earned a spot to utilize their special talents in front of an audience!

A special thanks to South Central Service Cooperative for organizing and hosting this event!
