Kindergarten classes visit police station

South Elementary kindergarten students made their annual visit by bus to the St. Peter Police Station on Tuesday (May 16), under the direction of St. Peter School Resource Officer (SRO) Jon Hughes. St. Peter Police Chief Matt Grochow and other officers and staff at the St. Peter Police Department also assisted during the visit.

Students were able to take a tour of the station and see a patrol car up close with the help of SRO Hughes and Officer Tyler Hokanson. Community Service Officer Janet Ireland, Office Coordinator Malinda Meyer, and Dispatcher Amber Schott assisted the kindergarten visitors with their own fingerprint cards, which each student got to take home.

Above and below are some photo highlights of the always popular police station visit by some of the South kindergarten classes.
