HS & MS Spring Band Concerts

(ABOVE) Director David Haugh leads the combined SPHS Concert Band (grades 11-12) and Varsity Band (grades 9-10) during the finale at Tuesday night's Spring Concert.

Saint Peter High School's bands and the Saint Peter Middle School 7th and 8th grade bands hosted their annual Spring Concerts Tuesday evening at the school’s Performing Arts Center, all under the direction of David Haugh.

The 7th and 8th grade bands kicked the evening off with each band playing three selections before the good-sized PAC crowd to watch the SPMS musicians perform.

During the SPHS show, the Jazz Ensemble opened with three selections, followed by the Varsity Band (grades 9-10) and Concert Band (grades 11-12). The Concert and Varsity bands then collaborated at the end of the show with their rendition of “Kvetchers” to close out the amazing night of instrumental music.

Mr. Haugh also honored the following SPHS band award recipients for the 2022-23 school year:

Louis Armstrong Jazz Award - Evan Deshayes
John Philip Sousa Award - Elodie DeVos
Superior Ratings at Solo & Ensemble Contest - Jazz Band; Percussion Ensemble; Elodie DeVos (French Horn solo); Ian Gerstbauer (Clarinet Solo); Evan Deshayes/David Marlow (Mixed Duet)
